Reliving Ancient Greece with Cover-All

Thrill seekers can find no better place in the world to experience the dark, watery abyss of a Double Barrel or come shooting out of a Thunder at lightning fast speeds into a refreshing swimming pool. Visitors can see the glacially formed gorge that surrounds them as they race between waterslides. Welcome to the self-proclaimed, “Water Park Capital of the World” in the Wisconsin Dells, which boasts eighteen indoor and three outdoor water parks. Making a grand splash in the midst of all this frivolity is Mt. Olympus Theme Park, owned by Nick Laskaris. Mt. Olympus is a theme park that has revived ancient Grecian history, with its Greek-inspired attractions. Included in the attractions is a Cover-All® TITAN® building that Laskaris has transformed into the Parthenon.

Laskaris took over the ownership of Mt. Olympus from his parents who started the business many years ago. A name change, an addition of roller coasters, and a recent acquisition of real estate has expanded Laskaris’ business and increased its popularity. What began as a small go-cart track has grown to the Dells’ only mega park. Mt. Olympus now spans 156 acres and has over 1 1/2 miles of frontage on the Wisconsin Dells Parkway. “We are one of the biggest parks in the West and we want to keep that status, so it’s a constant battle here in the Dells. We have 37 waterslides on property, 9 go-carts, 7 roller coasters, and 2 hotels. We probably see about half a million visitors a year.” With business thriving, Laskaris decided that building an indoor theme park would be a logical addition to his park and he saw thrills to be had with a Cover-All® building.

While driving back from Minnesota, Laskaris saw his first Cover-All® building. “We talked to the owner of the car dealership and he told us where the building was built and who built it for him. We were introduced to the fine people at Cover-All. It worked out well because we needed the height for the large rollercoaster and any other ride we want to do in the future.” Construction was timely, which impressed Laskaris. “Cover-All was a great idea. They came along and put it up quite quickly and worked well together. In the future, we hope to expand the building.”

Laskaris feels that Cover-All was the right choice for his needs. “This Cover-All building has saved us economically versus other buildings that we looked at and we were able to put in more rides rather than more building.” The Cover-All® building is a stand-out attraction at the park as a re-creation of the Parthenon, an ancient Greek temple. Laskaris says, “It worked out very well and I can’t wait to put another one up.”
